In the capital of Gujrat State – Ahmedabad celebrate every year the Kite festival. That is known as "International Kite Festival" & attracts millions of visitor every year. That of course, was many years ago. Kite flying has come a long way since then with the invention of motorized and even fiberglass kites-to compete with kite-paper, which was universally accepted as the only material that could fly. However, the tradition of kite flying in India has not changed. Be it during Basant or Makar Sankranti, people of all ages go out into the open to try their luck with their Patangs. In towns and cities, where fields are difficult to find, terraces and rooftops are often used for this traditional sport.

In Gujarat, Makar Sankranti is kite-flying day. Traditionally celebrated on January 14 or 15, it is a holiday when every family can be meet outdoors 'cutting' each other's kites. This immensely popular kite flying festival is held in all the important cities of Gujarat. The festival lures expert kite-makers and fliers not only from major cities of India but also from around the world. A plethora of designer kites are also put on display.

The International Kite Festival is always held at Ahmedabad on January 14, to coincide with the festival of Uttarayan or Makar Sankranti. The people of Gujarat celebrate Uttarayan with a lot of enthusiasm and all business comes to a grinding halt for a couple of days. It is also a celebration to mark the end of winter.

Day 01 : Ahmedabad
Arrival at Ahmedabad Intl Airport, after immigration & customs, meet our representative & transfer to Hotel. Rest of time free for own activities. Overnight stay in Hotel.

Day 02 : Ahmedabad
Morning after breakfast to get ready to participate in International Kite Festival, which held every year in Ahmedabad in the Month of January 14 or 15. It attracts a large volume of tourist from all over the World every year. Later visit Swaminarayan Temple, Museum & other part of city like Mosque & modern buildings. Evening free for own. Overnight stay in Hotel.

Day 03 : Ahmedabad / Mount Abu
Morning after breakfast drive to Mount Abu (225 kms) by Car. One of the Hill stations in Rajasthan State & set in the Aravali Hills. Arrive & check in to Hotel & after breakfast visit Digambar Jai Temple – built in 10th A. D. Evening have a memorable view of Sun Set. Rest of time free to explore the city. Night stay in Hotel.

Day 04 : Mount Abu / Udaipur
After breakfast drive to Udaipur (190 kms) – City of Lake. After fresh up visit the famous Jagdish Temple - a black stone image of Lord Vishnu, Museum, the Saheliyon ki bari (Garden of the Maidens) on the bank of Pichora Lake. Overnight stay.

Day 05 : Udaipur
Morning after breakfast whole day free for pleasure activity & visit some lakes. Later as per time schedule transfer to Airport to board in Flight for Mumbai / Delhi. Tour concludes with happy memories.
